In August 2018, I started training in earnest and by November, I had clocked close to a total of nine hundred miles. This propelled me to finish a Century Ride (100-mile ride).
But it was a butt soaring ride … it was beset with confronting the enemy - GALE-FORCE CROSSWINDS and extremely cold weather.
Crosswinds have blown riders completely off the road and a small mistake in group cycling can take down a whole group of riders.
Biking uphill was a real struggle and going downhill was difficult too because of the bone-chilling headwinds.
How did she get me to ride forward? Read about the anguishing story of the 100-Mile Ride in my new book, “OPEN HEART.”
I completed 100-kilometers (62.13 miles) cycling in a single stretch.
